TPHS were appointed by the client Cheergrey Properties to prepare initially the detailed technical work for representations to the Local Plan Inquiry call for sites for a site of some 19ha development of Office, Hotel, Conference and Leisure development, close to Stansted Airport.
The work provided a detailed technical analysis and trip generation model for the various land-uses and incorporated a staged approach to the testing and assessment of both the local highway network and non-car modes of travel to the site. Detailed highway modelling ensured the trigger stages were assessed for transport upgrades.
Subsequently TPHS were commissioned to provide detailed transport and highways advice on the development including meetings with Essex County Council and representatives of MAG, who owned the airport.
