After six hours and finishing in fading light after 10pm, Rob carded a five-under-par 67, putting him in joint fourth place in The Open Championship. TPHS would like to congratulate him for a fantastic first round, and wish him luck in the second round!
Rob Dinwiddie has qualified for the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews. Well done Rob for the fantastic achievement. TPHS are proud sponsors of Rob and wish him every success in competing with the world's best golfers over the next few days. Good luck Rob, we are all rooting for you!
TPHS raised money for the local charity, Born too Soon, at our recent golf day with a Beat the Pro challenge on the 14th hole at The Richmond Golf Club. Many thanks go to club pro, Nick Lloyd, who peppered the pin and our non-exec, Simon Russell, up at the green, judging those who may of finished inside Nick. Nick even took the time to fire one up at Simon at one point - one can only assume he thought he’d dozed off or something 😂
Last Tuesday saw our inaugural golf day which we are happy to say was a great success. A very slightly reduced field, due to a few M25 type problems, took to battle in an Alliance Stableford Fourball competition at The Richmond Golf Club. The winning team of Steve Jones - our MD, Jerry Browne - McAleer & Rushe, Steve Naylor – Stonegate Homes and Richard Booth – Quartz Project Services are pictured here taking refreshment at the halfway point served by Sam Parsons of Ford Parsons. A huge thanks to Ford Parsons for sponsoring the refreshments and prizes for longest drive and nearest the pin.
It has been anything but a quiet summer and we have been instructed on a number of new projects. Most of these are either feasibility studies or early stage projects which, whilst we could tell you about then we would have to shoot you. However, one we can speak about, in rural Suffolk we are working with Parker Planning Services facilitating a scheme bringing 50 new houses and a community centre.
Very pleased to be announcing our inaugural golf day to be held at The Richmond Golf Club on 12th October. We are currently finalising a few different competitions and challenges for the day. Dodging snakes on the 18th isn’t intended to be one of them! Many thanks to TRGC member Jonathan Suckling for the photograph and to Club GM, John Maguire, for subsequently catching the blighter.
